Welcome to Coverage Matters.  After 30 years in the legal and insurance industries, I set up my own consultancy in July 2022 using my expertise as a qualified solicitor and former law firm partner to provide clients with a technical wordings service.  Things took off and in 2024 I was joined by my business associate Rosemary Hort, a ten years plus experienced solicitor and coverage specialist. We are busy working with insurance companies and brokers alike.

I realised from my time in insurance that there is definitely a need for this service. The financial terms of insurance deals are not the only things that matter.  Clients and regulators are demanding higher standards in wordings and greater clarity in the products offered. Wordings need to match what is being said about them.

Besides that, our clients have all realised that having great wordings is a business imperative. Check out the “What We Do” page on this site. Fluctuating markets mean they need to be reviewed frequently to ensure they are keeping pace with current standards.  Even more importantly, they need to evolve with rapidly changing client needs to stay relevant.
